Terms of Service

Effective: June 19, 2026  |  Last updated: June 19, 2026

These Terms govern your use of snapgpt.me, the SnapGPT browser extension, and related applications, APIs, content, and paid features (together, the "Service"). By creating an account, installing the extension, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

SnapGPT is an independent service. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by any AI model provider, browser maker, school, testing organization, or third-party website.

1. Eligibility and Accounts

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you have not reached the age of legal majority where you live, your parent or legal guardian must review and agree to these Terms and authorize any purchase. You must provide accurate account information, keep credentials confidential, and promptly notify us of unauthorized access. You are responsible for activity through your account unless caused by our breach of these Terms or applicable law.

2. What the Service Does

The Service uses third-party artificial-intelligence and supporting services to analyze screenshots, images, selected text, prompts, and files; generate chat, image, search, code-execution, study, and quiz results; and save content at your direction. The extension can operate on webpages you visit so it can display its interface and respond when you invoke a feature. It is not designed to continuously transmit your browsing history.

3. License and Ownership

Subject to these Terms, SnapGPT grants you a personal, limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service. SnapGPT and its licensors retain all rights in the Service, software, branding, and materials other than your User Content. You may not copy, sell, sublicense, bypass access controls, interfere with operation, or reverse engineer the Service except where applicable law expressly permits it.

4. Your Content

"User Content" means prompts, text, screenshots, images, files, chats, study materials, feedback, and other material you submit. You retain your rights in User Content. You grant SnapGPT a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, copy, transmit, display, adapt, and process User Content only as needed to provide, secure, maintain, and improve the Service; enforce these Terms; and comply with law. This license ends when the content is deleted from active systems, except for limited backup, legal, security, or dispute copies and de-identified information.

You represent that you have the rights and permissions needed to submit User Content and allow this processing. Screenshots may contain another person's information or protected material. Do not submit confidential, personal, health, financial, account-credential, or other sensitive information unless you are authorized to do so and accept the risks described in our Privacy Policy.

5. Acceptable Use

You may not use the Service to:

We may investigate suspected violations and remove content, restrict features, or suspend accounts when reasonably necessary to protect the Service, users, or others.

6. Academic Integrity

SnapGPT is a study aid, not authorization to violate academic rules. Do not use it during a proctored exam, quiz, assignment, or other activity when outside assistance is prohibited. You are responsible for following school, instructor, testing-provider, and honor-code requirements and for disclosing AI assistance when required.

7. AI Output

AI output can be incomplete, inaccurate, outdated, offensive, or similar to output given to others. Verify it before relying on or sharing it. The Service is not a substitute for qualified legal, medical, financial, safety, or other professional advice. Do not use it as the sole basis for decisions affecting a person's rights, health, safety, education, employment, credit, housing, or access to essential services. To the extent permitted by law, you are responsible for how you use output and for determining whether that use infringes third-party rights.

8. Free Features, Plans, and Usage Limits

Current features, prices, quotas, and billing cycles appear on the pricing and checkout pages. Free and paid plans may have different model access, response limits, and features. "Unlimited" means no stated daily request quota for ordinary individual use; it does not permit automated, abusive, shared-account, resale, or unusually resource-intensive use. We may apply reasonable safeguards to protect availability and prevent abuse. We will not materially reduce a prepaid plan during its current term without providing the notice and remedy required by applicable law.

9. Subscriptions and Automatic Renewal

Paid subscriptions are billed in advance in U.S. dollars through our payment processor. Before purchase, checkout displays the price, billing interval, taxes if applicable, and other material terms. Unless you cancel, your subscription automatically renews at the end of each weekly, monthly, or annual billing period, and the payment method on file is charged the then-disclosed renewal price. By completing checkout, you expressly authorize these recurring charges.

You can cancel at any time through Dashboard > Manage Subscription and the payment processor's customer portal. You may also contact support@snapgpt.me for assistance. Cancellation stops future renewals; access ordinarily continues through the paid period. Deleting the extension or stopping use does not cancel a subscription. We will send confirmations and renewal or price-change notices when required by law.

10. Price Changes, Failed Payments, and Taxes

We may change future subscription prices with advance notice required by law. A price change applies no earlier than your next renewal after the notice period and, where required, only with your consent. You are responsible for applicable taxes shown at checkout. If payment fails, we or our payment processor may retry the charge and limit paid access while the account is past due.

11. Refunds and Consumer Cancellation Rights

Except where required by law or expressly stated at checkout, fees are non-refundable and we do not provide credits for a partially used billing period. You may request an exception within seven days of a charge by emailing support@snapgpt.me. This does not limit mandatory refund, cooling-off, cancellation, or warranty rights.

If you are entitled to a statutory withdrawal period, you request immediate performance of the digital Service when you begin using it. Where local law permits, you acknowledge that a withdrawal right may be reduced or lost once digital performance begins with your express request. Nothing in these Terms waives a right that cannot lawfully be waived.

12. Privacy and Monitoring

Our Privacy Policy explains collection, use, service-provider disclosures, analytics, advertising measurement, website session replay, submitted-content logging, staff access, retention, and privacy rights. The Service sends User Content to third parties needed to perform requested AI and supporting features. Do not use the Service if you do not want submitted content processed as described there.

13. Third-Party Services and Content

The Service depends on browser platforms, AI and search providers, cloud infrastructure, payment processing, and third-party websites. Their services and content may be governed by separate terms. SnapGPT does not control third-party websites and is not responsible for their content or practices. Your use of a third-party website remains subject to that website's rules.

14. Service Changes and Availability

We may update models, interfaces, and features and may suspend the Service for maintenance, security, legal, or operational reasons. We do not promise that every model or feature will always remain available. If we discontinue a paid Service or materially reduce a prepaid plan during its current term, we will provide the notice, continued access, substitute service, prorated refund, or other remedy required by applicable law.

15. Suspension and Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time and request account deletion. We may suspend or terminate access for a material or repeated breach, fraud, payment failure, security risk, unlawful conduct, or when necessary to protect users or the Service. When reasonably possible, we will provide notice and an opportunity to cure. If we terminate a prepaid subscription for reasons unrelated to your breach, we will provide a prorated refund unless law permits otherwise. Sections that by nature should survive termination—including ownership, payment obligations, disclaimers, liability limits, and dispute terms—will survive.

16. Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service and output are provided "as is" and "as available." SnapGPT disclaims implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that output is accurate or that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free. Some jurisdictions do not allow these exclusions, so they may not apply to you.

17. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SnapGPT and its personnel will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, goodwill, or opportunities, arising from the Service. Our aggregate liability for claims relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of $100 or the amount you paid SnapGPT in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.

These limits do not apply to liability that cannot be limited by law, including where applicable liability for fraud, willful misconduct, gross negligence, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or violation of mandatory consumer rights.

18. Governing Law and Disputes

Texas law governs these Terms, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. State and federal courts located in Texas will have non-exclusive jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, this choice does not deprive you of mandatory protections or access to courts available under the law of your residence. Before filing a claim, please contact us and allow 30 days for an informal resolution; either party may seek urgent injunctive relief at any time.

19. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms. We will post the new version and update the date. For a material change, we will provide reasonable advance notice through the Service, account email, or extension listing when required. Changes apply prospectively. If you do not agree, stop using the Service and cancel before the change takes effect. A change to a current prepaid subscription will not override mandatory law or a specific checkout commitment.

20. General Terms

These Terms and documents expressly incorporated into them are the entire agreement about the Service. If a provision is unenforceable, it will be limited to the minimum extent necessary and the rest will remain in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not transfer these Terms without our consent; we may transfer them as part of a merger, reorganization, or sale of the business, subject to applicable law. Neither party is liable for delay caused by events beyond reasonable control.
